Now is the time to take action
Have you missed a payment?
We understand that life doesn’t always go as planned. If you’ve already missed a payment on a peronal product you may have already received a call, letter, text or email from us. The most important thing is not to ignore the situation. The best thing you can do is to pay back the missed payments as soon as you can. This will help you get back on track, otherwise things can get worse and your credit rating may be affected which means it may be more difficult for you to get a loan in the future.
If you can’t clear your arrears, you should contact us as soon as possible to find out what can be done.
You are not alone, some of these stories might sound familiar
Everyone’s story is slightly different, and while these aren’t the names of real customers, some stories might ring a bell. If they do, then you should take action as soon as possible. The best way of avoiding a big problem is to tackle it while it is still a manageable problem.
Greg and Susan’s story
Greg and Susan had separated. When they agreed that Greg would move out of the family home they realised their two incomes now had to cover a mortgage and rent as well as two sets of bills. They told us they had separated and both of them sent in an Income and Expenditure form with their documents. Once they did this, we were able to work out an arrangement where they paid off their mortgage over a longer period than they started out with. It was going to take a little while longer to pay off their mortgage, but they avoided going into arrears, which was a relief. If you think you’ll miss a payment, talk to us on 03456005925.
John had both personal loans and credit cards. All the payments seemed manageable on their own, but when his job suddenly became part-time the payments were mounting up and suddenly became overwhelming. He was now missing payments on his credit card and his personal loans as he struggled to keep pace. After a few calls with John we worked out how to consolidate all the loans and arrears and agreed a repayment plan. It did mean that John had to reduce his spending, but it felt great to be back in control.
Paula had an accident and had to take six months off work. As a result, she missed quite a few mortgage payments on her home. She read up online about free debt advice and once she felt more informed she called us. We were sympathetic and helped her fill out the Income and Expenditure form at a time that suited her. After looking at the Income and Expenditure form and her personal circumstances we came to an arrangement which meant a period of reduced monthly payments until she was back to work.
